VINNO 5 Donated to Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital During Omicron Breakout
April 19-2022
The handover of VINNO V5 donation unit to Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital took place on Feb. 3rd. The staff and management team at the hospital were very grateful for VINNO’s kind gesture to support them during the life-saving.
Thelle Mogoerane (Natalspruit) Hospital, a level 1 and 2, regional facility with a total of 821 beds, is an extremely busy hospital and sadly they have limited equipment for the lifesaving work they do. Up to this point, there was only one unit available for the entire department of surgery, comprising around 200 beds. The donated V5 ultrasound unit will be used for central lines, assessing retained haemothoraxes, acute appendicitis, acute cholecystitis, DVTs, abdominal fluid, and for drainage of abscesses.
We hope, as a small company in healthcare, VINNO takes responsibility to bring hightech products to Africa to help them go through this crisis where they need all of our attention. This V5 donation would not be the last but the beginning of our mission.
